Once you’ve landed in Belize City you have a couple of options to get to Ambergris Caye or Caye Caulker. Mayaislandair

The first, and fastest option, is traveling by air. The two main airlines that fly out to the Cayes are Maya Island Air and Tropic Air. Either of those lines will get you there in about 15 minutes, whether you are taking off from Goldson International Airport or Belize City Municipal Airport.

If you aren’t in any hurry to arrive to the Cayes, and you like the water, try taking a water taxi out there. They are inexpensive, at about $10 for adults and a fraction of the price for kids. Tickets for the water taxi can be purchased at the Maritime Museum located at the foot of the Belize Swing Bridge in Belize City. This is also where the water taxis are stationed, and where you board to head out to Amergris Caye.
